Telegraph Hill Park is "one of the smallest of London's lungs". It is in two sections, with the upper park offering magnificent views over London as well as tennis courts and the lower park featuring two ponds, a playground, sports area and grassed and wildflower areas.

Skatepark news
There have recently been discussions between the Friends and Lewisham Council seeking to establish the detail of the works required for the skateboard park.
The final plans, approved by Lewisham Planning under delegated authority from the Mayor and Cabinet, are available here. These show a larger development than that approved by the Local Assembly and the Friends and that given to the Mayor and Cabinet for their delegated authority: the resentation/Cabinet papers showed a design which cut into the bank by 1m/1.3m; the approved designs show a cut of some 4.3m/4.7m.
We have been assured by the Parks Department that this will not destabilise the bank but we have expressed our concerns to the Council over this issue, the impact on trees, and the due process undertaken particularly once it became clear that the design was significantly larger than that shown at the Local Assembly and to the Friends and in the papers submitted to the Mayor.
